A meeting of the JUI-F executive committee in this regard was held at Chakdara the other day with Maulana Gul Naseeb Khan in the chair. Prominent among the participants were Maulana Shuja ul Mulk, Mufti Kifayatullah, Muhammad Ishaq Zahid, Maulana Ateeq ud Din Shakir, Abdul Jalil Jan, Maulana Rafiullah Qasimi, Maulana Atta ul Haq Darvesh, Maulana Fazal Mabood, Ijaz Shinwari, Abdul Waheed Marwat and others.

Sources privy to the meeting said the participants discussed the recent senate election and disloyalty of some of the party members. A fact finding committee headed by party provincial chief Maulana Gul Naseeb Khan was announced on the occasion. Sources said that brother of the JUI-F chief and opposition leader in KP assembly Maulana Lutf ur Rehman has been asked to appear before the committee on March, 14 at the provincial secretariat. They said that senator-elect Talha Mehmood, Shiekh Muhammad Yaqoob and some of the party members would also appear before the committee for investigation.

The meeting expressed reservation on attitude of some of the party members during the senate election and said the defeat of Maulana Gul Naseeb Khan was not a good omen for the party. Delimitation of constituencies: Political parties including PML-N, PPP, PTI, ANP and JUI-F Adenzai chapter on Thursday demanded of the election commission of Pakistan (ECP) to restore the status of Ouch union council in the previous PK-97 constituency.

Representatives of these parties met the district election officer Noor Said Khan Khattak and informed him about reservations of the residents. They also filed an application in the office of district election officer and demanded of the ECP to include Ouch union council in the proposed PK-14 constituency as it was the centuries’ old and central town of Adenzai tehsil. Under the proposed delimitation Ouch has been included in PK in PK 15. The residents threatened to come on the roads if the ECP failed to include Ouch in PK-14.

Also in the day the PPP divisional vice president and former MPA Muhammad Zamin rejected the proposed delimitation of PK 17 and demanded of the ECP to declare the whole of Maidan and some part of Balambat tehsil a separate PA constituency. Talking to local journalists at the Timergara press club he said that three union councils of Samar Bagh tehsil including Miskini, Kambat and Darangal had been included in PK-17 which had no logic.

On the other hand the ANP, PTI, PPP and JUI-F welcomed the ECP for delimitation of previous PK-95. Speaking at a news conference at Jandol press club local leaders of these parties said they had nothing with the agitation on delimitation.

They said that the proposed PK-16 constituency had been formed on merit. They said the Jamaat-i-Islami was rejecting it because it sees defeat in the proposed constituency. Similarly residents of Balambat also welcomed the proposed delimitation and formation of a new constituency PK-13. They demanded of the ECP not to make any changes in this constituency.
