JUI-F to protest against holding of provincial cabinet meeting in Landi Kotal

Ahmad Nabi

LANDI KOTAL: Jamiat Ullema-e Islam Fazalrehman(JUI-F) disapproved cabinet meeting of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to be scheduled in Landi Kotal on Tuesday as the moot was organized with intention to get hold of resources of the ex-tribal region and not to facilitate the tribal.

Addressing to a press conference Khyber district Ameer of JUI-F, Mufti Ijaz said all promises made by the incumbent government prior of the merging were still awaiting to be materialized and turned arranging of the meeting to suppress natural resources of the ex-tribal belt. He maintained that present situation of the ex-FATA was much more dilapidated than the era of Frontier Crime Regulation (FCR) as there was no law to prevail and KP government busy initiating symbolic cabinet meeting in the area, ignored difficulties of the tribal.

“If the provincial government is sincere to announce any development project in the meeting, we appreciate it but if it is a token gathering to decisive the tribal with hollow promises than it will be batter to hold the cabinet meeting in more backward distract of KP like Kohistan rather than in ex-FATA”, he argued.
