JUI-F workers protest against private news channel

PESHAWAR: Jammat Ulama Islam (F) workers protest in front of a private television office at Peshawar on Sunday after the news channel used derogatory word against its chief Mulana Fazli Rehman.

The protest was lead by JUI-F leader Mulana Abdul Jalil Jan, Maulana Aman Ullah ,Maulana Shams ur Rehman, Arbab Muhmmad Farooq, Ahmad Saeed and other provincial leader were present and chanted slogan against the private news channel.

They further said that private news channel used derogatory words against its chief, adding that it was not the first time but the news channel is using such like words as well in the past which create uncertainty and grief among the JUI F workers. They demanded the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) to take notice and take action against the news channel otherwise such incident if repeated again they will take action against the news channel.
