Junaid ready for BPL stint

Monitoring Desk

KARACHI: Pakistan left-arm pacer Junaid Khan is set to join Khulna Tigers in the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) after being overlooked for the upcoming five-match ODI series against South Africa.

The left-armer was dropped for the Men in Green’s upcoming 50-over assignment after chief selector Inzamamul Haq revealed on Wednesday that the 29-year-old needs to work on his fitness before he can make a comeback to the national side. However, in a surprising turn of events, the pacer is signed up by a BPL franchise Khulna Tigers for the remaining matches of the ongoing competition.
