Juvenile prisoners provided with text books at Timergara jail

TIMERGARA: About 23 under-aged jail inmates from class nursery to grade 10th were provided with school text books in order to enable them continue their studies in the district jail Timergara. The assistant commissioner Shah Jamil Khan in this regard visited the jail on Friday and met with the juvenile prisoners. The jail superintendent Ajmal Khan, deputy superintendent Bakht Rawan and members of Timergara press club were also present on the occasion.

The AC distributed text books and exercise books among 23 students in the jail and asked them to continue their studies. Talking to media persons he said the administration wanted to make these prisoners useful citizens of society. He said that prisoners were too part of society and should be facilitated. He said there were proper arrangements for educating those inmates. The jailed students thanked the Lower Dir administration and promised to read wholeheartedly.
