Kabir Singh continues its dominance at the box-office

Monitoring Desk

Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani star together in Sandeep Vanga’s Kabir Singh. Though the film has been called misogynistic and patriarchal by some reviewers, the audience has by and large taken a liking to Shahid Kapoor’s performance in the film.

Kiara Advani’s portrayal of the quiet and malleable Preeti is also being appreciated. The film hit the theatres last Friday and in just two days it has earned big at the box-office. One the first day, the film raked in Rs 20.71 crore at the cash counters and on Saturday that is day two, the film earned Rs 22.71 crore making the total a smashing Rs 42.92 crore. The film might turn out to be Shahid’s solo 100 cr hit.

According to trade analysts the film is eyeing a Rs 70 crore first weekend and that in itself is humongous. We congratulate team Kabir Singh on their success.
