Kabul offers visa-on-arrival for foreign investors

KABUL: Afghanistan has introduced a visa-on-arrival facility for foreign investors and business people at the Hamid Karzai International Airport, a statement said on Sunday.
The Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Industries (ACCI) in a statement appreciated the Afghan government’s initiative regarding easy visa facilities for foreign investors.
The statement hailed the issuance of multiple business visa for one (1) or three (3) years. Business visa is issued to foreign nationals who enter into the territory of Afghanistan for the purpose of business, investment, marketing, commercial transactions, guardianship, liquidation and handling of corporate affairs.
These nationals are issued visas for commercial property; selling and buying property; participation in exhibitions; commercial events and other similar issues, the ACCI statement said.
Visa-on-arrival at Hamid Karzai Airport
Foreign business people and investors will be issued visa upon arrival at Hamid Karzai International Airport through representatives of Border Police of Ministry of Interior Affairs of Afghanistan and after the evaluation of the required documents in collaboration with MoFA representative at the airport.
It is important to mention that, beside other conditions the business person should submit a new notarized bank statement with having a minimum of US $100,000 deposit in his company account.
