KABUL (Tolo News): Team Kabul won the Afghanistan U-16 Football Championship of the central zone by defeating Parwan 1-0 in the final match on Saturday.
Teams from Kabul, Bamiyan, Logar, Panjshir, Kapisa and Parwan took part in the competitions that continued for one week. Kabul entered the final with 15 points and unbeaten. Parwan lost two matches in the competitions, including the final match against Kabul.
Shabir Ahmad from Kabul was named as the best goalkeeper of the competitions, Bilal from Parwan was named as the best player and Ferdaws Haidari was named as the best scorer of the tournament by scoring eight goals, according to Afghanistan Football Federation, which organized the event. The football federation in a statement said that the event was held to find best players for Team A of U-16 football in Kabul.
