Kabul’s Explosion: Afghan Freedom Front claims responsibility

KABUL (Khaama Press): Afghan Freedom Front claimed responsibility for an attack on Friday late evening in Kabul that killed three and wounded four members of the Taliban, the group stated.
The Freedom Front, which is said to be made up of members of the security forces of the previous government of Afghanistan claimed in a statement the responsibility of the attack in the “Spin Kelly” intersection in the fifth district of Kabul city.
According to the statement, the attack occurred around 8:40 local time on Friday night. As a result, four members of the Islamic Emirate were killed, and three members were injured.
But, the Islamic Emirate confirmed the explosion at the “Spin Kelly” intersection in the fifth district of Kabul city and said that two people were wounded only.
However, Khaled Zadran, the spokesman of the Kabul police, has not said anything about the attack on Freedom Front but only confirmed the occurrence of an explosion.
The attack has recently been increased on the Taliban-led government by Islamic State Khorasan and other militant groups, in a recent statement by the Islamic State, claimed responsibility for killing the Balkh governor and two others on Thursday.
Despite repeated assertions to the contrary by the Islamic Emirate rulers, the de facto government of Afghanistan still confronts serious security issues.
The militant Islamic State Khorasan (IS-K) group has waged brutal attacks on Kabul, the province capital, and other locations since the Taliban seized power in August 2021.
