Kalki Koechlin to be seen in important role in Sacred Games 2

MUMBAI: India’s hit Netflix series Sacred Games is coming back with a new season and some new characters.

Netflix India dropped the cast list on Monday with the short video featuring Saif Ali Khan and NawazuddinSiddiqui reprising their roles as cop Sartaj Singh and gangster Ganesh Gaitonderespectively, and also KalkiKoechlin and RanvirShorey who will be playing pivotal roles in the film.

According to Indian Express, Kalki will essay a character named Batya and Ranvir will play Shahid Khan.

“Personally, I am a fan of the series, and it is super awesome to be a part of the Sacred Games and Netflix family. Season 2 promises to be much more exciting and I cannot wait for viewers to watch me in the series,” said the actress.

PankajTripathi, the Guruji who was introduced in the first season as Gaitonde’s ‘third father’, will also play a more significant role in Season 2.

What we know about the upcoming season’s storyline is that Sartaj still has 14 days remaining (of the 25 that Ganesh says he has to save the city).

AnuragKashyap will continue to direct Nawazuddin’s track and NeerajGhaywan (of Masaan fame) will take over from VikramadityaMotwane to direct Sartaj Singh’s track.

Based on Vikram Chandra’s book of the same name, Sacred Games Season 2 will premiere later this year.
