Monitoring Desk

MUMBAI: After Dabangg and Dabangg 2, Salman Khan is all set to be back on the big screen with the third installment of the Dabangg franchise.

The actor will be seen in Dabangg 3 opposite Sonakshi Sinha and the film kicks off in April. Speaking of the film, now there’s a new name added in the star cast and it’s none other than that of Kannada star, Sudeep, who shot to fame with Makkhi.

According to the latest report in Mumbai Mirror, Sudeep will play a baddie in the cop-drama. Confirming the same, a source close to the project informed Mirror, “Sudeep and Salman have been planning to team up on a film for a long time and things have finally fallen in place. The two will engage in Tom and Jerry kind of skirmishes in Dabangg 3. Sudeep’s character has shades of grey.”

Reports say that director Prabhudeva already has given brief narration to Sudeep and he has given his nod to the film. Recently, Salman praised Sudeep for the teaser of his upcoming Kannada film Pailwaan. Salman wrote, “You have taken what we started to another level, all the best and congrats to the MAN, to the PAILWAAN.”
