Kartik Aaryan to dance on a chartbuster from the ’90s

Monitoring Desk

MUMBAI: Post Aankh marey from Simmba became a rage among the audience, another chartbuster song from the ’90s is ready to create a stir. Kartik Aaryan’s next film, Luka Chuppi, is going to rehash Akshay Kumar’s hit track, Yeh khabar chhapva do dkhbar mein, from Aflatoon (1997). This song was originally picturised on Akshay Kumar and Urmila Matondkar and will now be filmed on Kartik and Kriti Sanon.

The song was shot in Vasai fort in Mumbai on Monday and Tuesday. The song has more than 150 background dancers and is choreographed by Vijay Ganguly.

A source from the sets says, “Luka Chuppi is set in Mathura with Kartik playing a television reporter, the quintessential good boy every girl wants to take home to her parents. Kriti is a local girl, who goes to Delhi to study but has now returned to her home town. The entire film has been shot in Mathura. But like the original song, the new version has been filmed at interesting locations in and around Mumbai.”

Directed by Laxman Utekar, Luka Chuppi, is all set to release on March 1, 2019.
