KABUL (Agencies): Former President, Hamid Karzai welcomed the announcements by the US state department and Taliban political office about the finalizing of a peace deal.
Karzai said Saturday in a statement that he hoped the deal lead Taliban to an intra-Afghan dialogue and result a long-lasting peace in the war-hit country.
He hoped that all Afghans gather for a national unity and save their beloved homeland from the current deadlock so the people could live in a free space without foreign meddling.
