Kashmir Day observes in Landi Kotal

LANDI KOTAL: Like other parts of the country, the tribesmen of Khyber came out on Saturday to observe Kashmir Solidarity Day with commitment to continue their support to the struggle of Kashmiris for their self-determination. In this connection a public rally was organized in Landi Kotal that was attended by people from different walks of life.
The participants were carrying banners inscribed with slogans in favor of Kashmiris and chanted slogans like “Kashmir will become part of Pakistan ” etc. The rally started from the Tehsil building and at Bacha Khan Chawk, Landi Kotal Bazaar it turned into a public gathering.
Speaking on the occasion, speakers including Haji Jafer,Rajwali and others reaffirmed that the people of Pakistan will continue to extend their moral, political and diplomatic support to the Kashmiris in their difficult time. They urged the international community, specifically the United Nations (UN), to play its due role to stop genocide of oppressed Kashmiris by the Indian forces and adopt concrete steps to in resolve this longstanding dispute as per willing of Kashmiris.
Major Sharjeel, President of Anjumane Tajeran Landi Kotal Bazaar Haji Jafer, Additional Station House Officer Azmat Wali Shinwari, administrative and Tehsil Municipal Authority officials, elders, traders, students and representatives of civil society were among the participants. At the end the demonstrators offered prayers for the independence of occupied Kashmir and dispersed peacefully.
Similarly tribesmen in Bara also expressed their solidarity with the people of occupied Kashmir by holding a demonstration here at Khyber Chawk, Bara on Saturday. The rally was led by the Member Provincial Assembly, Shafiq Afridi and a large number of people from different walks of life made ensure their participation in it.
Addressing on the occasion Shafiq Afridi and others urged the world community to take notice of Indian atrocities and grant the right of living to the Kashmiris. Prime Minister Imran utilizing every single forum to more effectively highlight the Kashmir issue and to raise voice for the right of self-determination of Kashmiris, they remarked. They maintained that the tribesmen salute to the sacrifices of Kashmiri people and will extend unconditional assistance to them in winning their freedom.
