Kashmir, Palestine issues demand world community’s attention : Arif Alvi

F.P. Report

ISLAMABAD: President Dr Arif Alvi has urged upon the world community to pay attention to the issues of Kashmir and Palestine for their immediate resolution, Radio Pakistan reported on Thursday.

“Freedom struggles cannot be suppressed by use of brute force.”

This he stated while addressing a two-day international conference on Kashmir history, culture and heritage in Islamabad.

The president said the history of Kashmir spans over five thousand years. He said Islamic art and calligraphy is beauty of our region.

Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi on Wednesday had regretted the world community silence over the growing atrocities by the Indian forces in occupied Kashmir.

He was addressing a seminar under the head of “Pakistan-India Relations and acceleration of freedom movement in Occupied Kashmir.”

Qureshi said despite knowing the facts, the global community is not taking any action against the rights violation in the occupied valley.

Qureshi paid tribute to the people of Occupied Kashmir who are continuing their freedom struggle despite the raging Indian violence and mayhem.

“Kashmiris are carrying out their struggle for independence”, the FM continued.

Shedding light on the provocation from the Indian side, he said Pakistan gave a befitting response when India resorted to aggression in the wake of Pulwama incident.
