Kashmir solidarity day observed in Dir

TIMERGARA: The Jamaat-i-Islami Lower Dir arranged rallies at Timergara and Chakdara to mark the Kashmir solidarity day. Hundreds of political activists and citizens participated in these rallies. The participants while carrying banners and placards marched on the roads and chanted slogans against the Indian rulers.

The Timergara rally was addressed by JI acting district emir Arshad Zaman, Hizb ul Mujahideen central chief Taj Ali Shah, JUI-F Maulana Muhammad Nabi Shah, district nazim Muhammad Rasool Khan, former MNA Sahibzada Yaqub Khan, former provincial minister Muzafar Syed and others.

The Chakdara rally was addressed by Sultanat Yar, advocate Rahimullah, Syed Liaqat ul Mulk, Maulana Tahir Shah and other.

The speakers said that all Pakistanis were supporting the freedom fighting movement of Kashmiris. They condemned the Indian government and world powers for their silence on Kashmir issue. They said that innocent Kashmiris were being killed.

The speakers urged the international community to break silence and take notice of the Indian forces’ brutalities in the occupied Kashmir. They said that humanity was bleeding in the held Kashmir but the UNO and other world powers had been silent.

The speakers said that Kashmiris could not obtain their goal of freedom through cricket diplomacy or trade but Kashmir will be freed only through ‘jihad’ (holy war). They said that Kashmiris could no more be kept slaves and they would soon witness the dawn of freedom.

They demanded of the government to raise the Kashmir issue on world forums and include the issue in its foreign policy.
