LANDI KOTAL: Khyber Bar Association lodged a complaint in the Court of magistrate, Landi Kotal against routine blockade of Pak-Afghan highway here on Saturday.
Vice-President of the Association, Advocate Sajjad Shinwari said that blocking Pak-Afghan highway in personal interests and in private matters had become a routine business that had multiplied miseries of the residents including students, patients and travelers from across the border.
Taking immediate action on the complaint, the magistrate directed the in-charge Zayarai check to forthwith open the road and ordered the Station House Officer, Landi Kotal police station to file First Information Report (FIR) against those involved in blocking the Pak-afghan road.
Advocate Sajjad Shinwari vowed that they will report such kinds of irregularities and will raise their voice against injustice.
The locals appreciated the positive initiative of the lawyers and said the constant blockade of Pak-Afghan highway had become a headache for the locals and travelers that must be halted.
