PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervez Khattak on Wednesday appeared before National Accountability Bureau in alleged misuse of government helicopters and alleged irregularities in land leasing scam.

However, sources said that Pervez Khattak was handed over the questionnaire only regarding the helicopter use case and he was given one week time to reply.

Later while talking to media, Pervez Khattak said that he was happy with NAB as the chief executive of the province was being questioned.

He said that there was no Standard Operating Procedure for use of helicopters and his government had not done anything illegal.

NAB had launched an inquiry into the reports about the private use of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government’s helicopters to facilitate PTI chief Imran Khan.

Similarly, Chairman NAB had taken notice of leasing out of 275-acre protected land of Forest Department to a private company Samson Group of Companies Lahore at tourist resort Malam Jabba in Swat.

He has directed KP NAB DG to immediately secure all relevant documents including the lease agreement, and launch an inquiry in this regard.
