PESHAWAR: Special Anti-terrorism Court (ATC) Peshawar Judge Jahanzeb Shinwari ordered arrested Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) Tariq and Station House Officer (SHO) Bilal Hussain due to failure in producing personal sureties in kidnapping of a youth of 17th year age, on Thursday.
During hearing ASI Tariq and SHO Bilal Hussain appeared before court while ACT Judge Jahanzeb Shinwari ordered to sent them to jail for didn’t appearing personal sureties. However, police has arrested ASI Tariq from the court’s premises while SHO Bilal Hussain runaway while ATC ordered registration of First Information Report against Bilal Hussain at East Cant police station.
Special ATC Judge also issued nonbailable arrest warrants of other SHOs named Ijaz Nabi and Abdul Ali while ordered departmental actions against SHO CTD Peshawar. The court ordered to forward copy of order sheet to police high-ups. It is worthy to mention that SHOs including CTD Peshawar, Bilal Hussain, Ijaz Nabi and Abdul Nabi along with ASI Tariq were involved in kidnapping of 17-year youth from Pakha Ghulam area of provincial metropolis.
Moreover, the mother of abducted youth has approached ATC for probe into the matter while the five policemen didn’t appearing before court and yesterday (on Thursday) SHO Bilal Hussain runaway from the premises. PHC releases alleged human trafficker: Justice Ishtiaq Ibrahim of Peshawar High Court has ordered release of Afghan citizen named Muhammad Yasin allegedly involved in human trafficking.
According to prosecution, Muhammad Yasin has received Rs2 lac and 30 thousand from Ajmal for sending his son to Europe via Iran-Turkiye but he retun back to Pakistan. Federal Investigation Agency has initiated inquiry on the complaint of Ajmal and registered case of human trafficking while Muhammad Yasin was took into the custody.
The counsel Asim Shamshad Advocate argued that the case is baseless and prosecution has no evidence against the petitioner. He added that lower court has turndown bail plea and the petitioner approached PHC for relief. Justice Ishtiaq Ibrahim ordered release of Afghan citizen on bail after conclusion of arguments.
