Kohli scores second Test double century against Sri Lanka

NEW DELHI: Indian Skipper, Virat Kohli scored sixth double century in Test on Sunday and became the first captain in the world to hit six double centuries in test cricket.

The runs machine of India scored career-best 243 against Sri Lanka in New Delhi on Sunday.

Kohli, 29, breaks the record of Brian Lara who had scored off 200 or more as captain after he scoring successive double century against Sri Lanka in third test.

Earlier in the second test against Sri Lanka, Kohli, scored 213 in India´s thrashing of Sri Lanka in the second Test in Nagpur.

He joined batting greats Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag in India´s list of most double hundreds by batsmen in Tests.
