Korea helps Afghan-led, owned peace process

KABUL: Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs IdressZaman met with the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Kabul Rhee ZhaHyoung here.

Deputy Minister Zaman emphasized the strengthening of ties between the two countries and added that the Afghan Government wants increased number of educational scholarships from South Korea in the fields of specialized studies.

The South Korea ambassador stated that the Republic of Korea fully supports the Afghan led and Afghan owned peace process and provides short term trainings for 100 government employees every year. The two sides also talked on expanding cultural, economic, and education ties between the two countries.(BNA)
