PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Education Department banned the use of mobile phones in schools.
The Department of Primary and Secondary Education has sent a circular to the Director of Education to ban the use of mobile phones in schools.
The heads of schools have been instructed to restrict the use of mobile phones in schools, it stated, adding that the use of mobile phones during school hours affects students’ learning adversely.
The circular said the use of mobile phones should be banned in the classroom and the heads of the institution have been instructed to receive mobile phones from all the staff in the morning.
The letter further said that in case of emergency, the staff should contact the PTCL landline or the school head’s mobile phone.
It is also mandatory to get permission from the heads of the institution to take pictures or videos
