KP government to improve people’ life standard, says minister

TIMERGARA:  The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa minister for finance Muzafar Syed on Saturday said the PTI led government in the province wanted to improve life standard of people by initiating development projects.

Addressing different public gatherings at Khat Kaly and Khan Serai villages in his native constituency PK 95 Talash, the minister said that work on development projects worth of billions had been in progress in parts of Lower Dir.

About the manifesto of Jamaat-i-Islami the minister said it wanted establishment of an Islamic welfare state where people had easy access to justice and resources. He said the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government wanted to develop backward and remote areas in order to end the sense of deprivation among the masses.

He said that Rs 2.95 billion had been allocated for construction of the Timergara Medical College the PC-1 of which had been prepared. He said that classes at the medical college would start from next academic session. The minister also announced Rs 1.5 million for construction of Khat Kaly mosque and street pavement, provision of solar panels to the local water supply scheme and power transformer for it.

The JI workers and local elders attended the gathering. Several political workers from the PPP and ANP at the Khan Serai function announced to quit their parties and join the JI on the occasion. The minister welcomed the new comers and said they would be happy while working for the JI.
