KP Governor visits victims of Police Lines explosion at LRH

PESHAWAR: Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Haji Ghulam Ali on Saturday said that he will play his full role to solve the problems of the people of the entire province especially in the health sector.

He said that LRH is a public hospital not only for Peshawarits but across the province, it is time to meet their needs on a priority basis to reduce the burden on all major hospitals in the province and will try to improve the health facilities.

He expressed these views while talking to journalists during his visit to Lady Reading Hospital (LRH) Peshawar. The Governor on this occasion donated two German dialysis machines to the hospital administration and reiterated his commitment to cooperate with the hospitals of the province in the future.

Governor Ghulam Ali also visited the injured of Police Lines blast. He paid tribute to the families of the injured for their great sacrifice and prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured.

The Governor paid tribute to the doctors, nursing staff and other medical staff dedicated to the service of humanity for showing exemplary spirit.

The Governor asked the medical staff to provide all kinds of treatment and facilities to the blast victims.

Ghulam Ali said that the tragedy of Peshawar Police Lines is a national tragedy on which the entire nation has suffered and the people of the province and especially the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police share in the grief and we will stand side by side with them.

On this occasion, Governor Haji Ghulam Ali thanked Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir, Federal Ministers, Chief Ministers of Sindh, Punjab, Balochistan, Gilgit-Baltistan and Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir, who immediately visited here after the tragedy and encouraged the blast victims.

The Governor also expressed his gratitude for the announcement of the aid package for the martyrs and the injured by the Federal and Sindh governments.

He said that all the political parties were invited to the apex committee meeting, but only one political party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf did not participate in the meeting.
Responding to a question regarding holding of elections, Governor Haji Ghulam Ali said that he has sent a letter to the Election Commission and suggested that they should consult with all the stakeholders before holding the election and agree after reviewing the overall situation.

As a Governor, he said, it is my responsibility to take such a decision that benefits the people and does not create difficulties for them.

He said that serving the people is my first priority, I have served the people before and will continue to serve the people in the future.
