KP Govt is serious to improve BHUs and RHC across KP: DG health

PESHAWAR: Director General Health Service Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Dr. Ayub Rose has said that the provincial government is serious to provide all facilities to the tertiary care hospitals including BHUs and RHCs.

This he said on Wednesday in a program on “Knowledge sharing and dissemination workshop” organized by Community uplift Program with the financial support of DFID here in a local hotel at Peshawar.

Dr.Ayub Rose further added that the provincial government were providing 40% budget to the local government representative and it’s the duty of the local representative to spend their budget and improve the structure of BHUs and RHCs.

He informed that Community Uplift Program working for the last two years in district Charsadda and provides facility to the common citizen and educates them to raise their voice for their rights in health sector.

He appreciate CUP program and hope that the program will be extended across the province as the health department will provide all the facility to the donors to implement the program for better health care across the province.

On the occasion CEO CUP,  Colonial Iftikhar Ur Rehman briefed the participants about the project and said that the two years project were improve the Basic Health Units of Charsadda with the support of the community.

He further informed that around 176 lead activists were trained in which around 88 were male and 88 were female, adding that the lead activists were trained and then were educate the community to raise their voice for their rights.

He thanked the health department and local government representative for the support, adding that efforts of CUP many BHUs in district Charsadda were improved.

On the occasion health department official, district Nazim Charsadda , Miss Sumaya Akhtar from EVA BHN and other were spoke and appreciate the efforts of CUP for the improvement of health sector in district charsadda.
