KP govt spending huge amount on health and education, says finance minister

TIMERGARA: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa minister for finance Muzafar Syed on Monday said the government had been spending billions on improvement of health and education facilities in the province.

Addressing the staff of DHQ hospital Timergara at the facility after inaugurating the ongoing development schemes the minister said the PTI led coalition government had succeeded in enhancing service delivery at educational and health institutions. Earlier the minister inaugurated the special Express power line to the hospital, female section in the hospital laboratory and extension work of the hospital mosque.

The DHQ hospital Timergara medical superintendent Dr Anwar Zada, president Al-Khidmat Foundation Lower Dir Yaqub ur Rehman, president paramedical association Muhammad Rahim and staff of the facility were also in attendance.

The minister also visited different units of the facility, met the patients and appreciated the management for better services.

He said the Timergara hospital was the largest peripheral hospital in the province. He said that patients from Upper Dir, Bajaur Agency and Chitral also visited this hospital due to which it was overloaded.

The minister said that the Express line would ensure smooth power supply to the hospital. He asked the staff to devotedly serve the masses.

Also in the day the minister administered oath to the newly cabinet members of the district bar Timergara during a function held at the bar room.

Speaking on the occasion he lauded the efforts of legal fraternity for restoration of democracy, peace and establishing the rule of law. The minister said that provincial budget had been prepared and would be presented on May, 5 if the PTI chief Imran Khan gave a green signal.

The bar president Kifayatullah Bukhari, general secretary Zia ul Haq and member of provincial bar council Hazrat Rehman also spoke on the occasion.
