KP govt to increase education budget by 20 percent: Shaukat

PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Information Shaukat Yousafzai Friday said education was the top priority of the government and it would increase the education budget by 20 percent in next fiscal year.

During his visit to a primary and high schools in his own constituency Danda, Shangla, he said that the government was paying attention to promote education in district Shangla and would provide all basic facilities to primary and high secondary schools.

He said that in upcoming annual development plan the government has allocated various development projects for the district to bring it at par with other areas of the country.

On the occasion he asked students and teachers about their problems who demanded installation of solar panel on priority basis.

The minister assured to resolve their issues and said the government would also take measures to promote tourism in Shangla.
