CHARSADDA: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Special Assistant to Chief Minister for Industry and Trade Abdul Karim Wednesday said the provincial government was taking pragmatic measures to promote cottage industry with a view to alleviate poverty and had initiated several projects in this sector.
Talking to media here after inaugurating a local brand of Charsadda Chappal, he assured the government support to promote the Chappal at international level to give boost to local industry. He advised the people attached with CharsaddaChappal industry to use new and modern technology in making the local Chappal as per international standard so that these could be introduced in central Asian market. On the occasion he appreciated introduction of leather made Charsadda Chappal and said if the quality and standard of Charsadda Chappal is improved these could be exported.
