KP-HCC commences assessments of category 1 hospitals in Peshawar

PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Care Commission (KP-HCC) has initiated a comprehensive assessment process for all Category 1 hospitals in Peshawar, with the aim of granting licenses to those meeting the prescribed standards. This assessment is being conducted by specialized teams of assessors, consisting of clinical, management, pharmacy, nursing, and biomedical engineering specialists.
The main objective of these assessments is to evaluate the quality of patient care provided by hospitals and ensure compliance with the established standards. By conducting thorough evaluations, the KP-HCC aims at enhancing the overall healthcare services/quality and promoting a safe and conducive environment for patients.
In recent months, assessments have been successfully completed for five hospitals. These hospitals include:

  1. Peshawar Institute of Cardiology
  2. Prime Teaching Hospital
  3. Mercy Teaching Hospital
  4. Abaseen Hospital
  5. Health Care Net.
    The assessments were conducted meticulously, taking into account various aspects of healthcare services and infrastructure. The KP-HCC is pleased to acknowledge the commitment and cooperation shown by these hospitals during the evaluation process.
    The remaining hospitals are also scheduled for assessment in the near future. The KP-HCC assures the public and healthcare stakeholders that the assessment process will be conducted with the utmost professionalism and transparency, ensuring fairness and impartiality throughout the process.
    The KP Health Care Commission reaffirms its dedication to improving the healthcare system throughout the province. By granting licenses to hospitals that meet the prescribed standards, the KP-HCC aims at raising the bar of healthcare services and contributing to the well-being of the community.
