KP IGP, chief secretary removed from their posts

PESHAWAR: The provincial government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) on Saturday removed the Inspector General of Police and the chief secretary from their posts.

As per a notification issued by the Establishment Division, IGP Salahuddin Mehsud has been transferred as IGP Azad Kashmir while Muhammad Naeem Khan, the Azad Kashmir IGP, will take up the vacant K-P police spot.

Chief Secretary Naveed Kamran has been asked to report to the Establishment Division. His vacant position has been given to Pakistan Administrative Services Grade 21 officer Muhammad Saleem. Saleem, prior to the appointment, was already serving in the province.

Additionally, Chief Secretary of Azad Kashmir Khawaja Dawood Ahmed has been made Additional Registrar of the Supreme Court.
