KP ministers salaries to be decreased by 10 percent: Shaukat

PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Information, Shaukat Yousafzai Wednesday said that provincial ministers salaries would be decreased by 10 percent and developmental budget would be added more volume.

Ahead of provincial budget, the KP Information Minister Shaukat yousafzai said that on the special directives of Prime Minister Imran Khan cut was being made in expenditures of the government to address the core issues of masses in true spirit.

He added that only indispensable expenditures would be made in the government course.

“Approaching provincial budget would be masses friendly,” he said and added that decrease in number of taxes has been proposed to give relief to public.

He maintained that upcoming budget would be a surplus budget instead of deficit.

“There was a proposal of increase by 10 percent in the salaries of government employees from grade 1 to 16,” he stated and added that provincial government would boost salaries of officials from grade 17 to 19 by five percent.
