KP Police finally arrest minor Asma’s killer

PESHAWAR: Regional Police Officer (RPO) Dr Mian Muhammad Saeed Khan has claimed to have arrested two suspects for their alleged involvement in the four-year-old Asma case, who was raped before murdered in Gujar Garhi area of Mardan.
While addressing a press conference on Wednesday, RPO claimed that the arrested main suspect identified as 15-year-old Muhammad Nabi worked in the local restaurant and he was close relative of the minor girl.
Police also presented the arrested Muhammad Nabi, before the media with the covered face.
Sharing the details, Dr Saeed informed media persons that the blind murder case was resolved after tracing a drop of blood on a leaf in the sugarcane field where the four-year-old Asma was raped and murdered.
He added that fingerprint of the arrested suspect were also found on the neck of the murdered minor girl and adding that the weapon used for the murder has also been recovered.
Police officer further shared that the killer attempted sexual assault on the minor in the field of sugarcane but she resisted and start shouting for help. In reaction, the arrested suspect Muhammad Nabi killed the Asma by strangulation.
Dr Saeed added that the other arrested was identified as Fawad, and he has been a close associate of the primary suspect and adding Muhammad Nabi had inf-ormed him about killing the minor girl. Police also plan to present Fawad as a witness against the prime suspect.
Prior to the Mardan RPO, Inspector General of Police, Salah-u-Din Mehsud also addressed the media and said that the brutal crime scene was in a16-kanal field of sugarcane and police had no CCTV image or eyewitness in this blind case but we continued our hard work and resolved the case which shows the performance of KP police.
Mehsud said that KP police didn’t stop the efforts to reach the killer of four-year-old Asma and we were successful by arresting the two suspects including a prime suspect in raped and murder case of minor girl.
