PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Minister Taimur Khan Jhagra has said that even though the spread of the coronavirus has been dampened due to the lockdown, it still poses a considerable threat to the province.
According to details, the Health Minister and Advisor Information Ajmal Wazir held a joint press conference in cabinet room, where Taimur Khan said that the 40 million people of the province should be aware of the situation’s severity and unless the public follows all safety guidelines, the province could be facing almost 80,000 cases by the end of the month as cases are doubling every week.
The minister said that for now, tribal areas are relatively unharmed and six districts of the province are yet to report a single case of the virus and the government is trying its best to keep it that way.
He said that old habits of playing politics must be shunned in order to overcome the virus, which can only be done through unity and combined efforts.
