KP teachers to protest in front of Imran Khan’s residence on October 17

PESHAWAR: More than 600 teachers of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and FATA decided to stage sit-in front of PTI Chief Imran Khan house in Islamabad on October 17 after the negotiation between the protesting teachers and government were failed.

The government colleges teachers of FATA and KP are protesting and demanding from the government to announce professional allowance and up-gradation which is provided to school teachers but not to college teachers.

Delegation of protesting teachers met the CM Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervaiz Khattak on Wednesday. CM said on the occasion that the decision of formation of board of governors has been taken back, however he rejected the demands of professional allowance and up-gradation and this will financially damage the provincial government.

Teachers Action Committee In charge Jamshed Khan claimed that the CM not only conversed harshly but also did not listen to their stance.

The protesting teachers announced a boycott of the election and suspension of academic duties and stated that they will stage sit-I outside Imran Khan residence against the inappropriate behavior of KP’s CM.
