KPBC hold strike against murderer of lawyer

PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Bar Council observed strike against murderer of Zamir Gul Advocate in Dargai and boycott from court’s proceeding which has disturbed daily routine while applicants were tried without ends, on Thursday.
KPBC condemned the murder of lawyer and demanded arrest of culprits involved in the offense while urged government to provide security to lawyer’s community.
KPBC members including Tariq Afridi, Ishaq Ali Qazi, Danyal Asad Chamkani, Yasir Khattak, Babar Khan, Amjad Hassan Tanoli, Syed Mubashir Shah, Nouman Kakakhail, Amin-ur-Rehman, President Peshawar High Court Behlol Khattak, Qaiser Zaman, District Bar President Amjad Ali Marwat and Mian Hikmatullah along with other lawyers condemned the murder and demanded provision of security to legal fraternity.
The lawyer’s community claimed that killing of advocates had increased and several murderers were reported recently when the lawyers were killed across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. They urged government to take concrete actions for provision of security and for arrest of culprits involved in the crimes.
The legal fraternity threatened that if their demands shall not fulfilled then they will be compel to arranged strikes across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in favor of their demands.
