KPESE dept completes performance schools survey

PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Elementary and Secondary Education (KPESE) Department has completed a monthly survey of schools in 25 districts of the province analyzing their performance and result ratio.

The analysis was of indicators relating to 10th and 5th grade results, attendance of teachers, progress in monetary matters and development projects in schools, percentage of out of school students, syllabus books, furniture and provision of scholarships to students, said a release issued here on Thursday.

The aim and objectives of the survey is to appreciate best performing schools and to inquire the reasons behind poor performance.

Survey disclosed that improvement has been monitored in 18 out of 25 districts.

One percent increase has been witnessed in students’ attendance, four percent improvement in teachers’ attendance and 33 percent in restoring non functional educational institutions to functional.

Special Secretary KPESE, Arshad Khan said that mechanism would also informed concerned authorities regarding drawbacks, identification and help taking necessary measures relating to the situation.
