KR, health directorate set up free medical camp

LANDIKOTAL: Khyber Rifle (104 wing) with association of health department set up a day long free medical camp here government high school, Ghafoor Khan Kalley, Shiekhmal Khel, Landi Kotal on Thursday. Approximately 1323 patients comprising 488 female, 445 children and 390 male locals’ patients visited the camp and were provided free medical treatment.

Specialist doctors of ENT, Skin, Medical and Gynecologist of forces and health examined the visiting patients and facilitated them with free needed medicines on the spot. Lieutenant Col Shahid who supervised the camp said that it had been observed that some remote areas of Landi Kotal had been d ignored in provision of standard medical facilities therefore it was decided to facilitate those neglected people with best medical assistance free of cost.

He maintained that with collaboration of health department free medical was initiated where expert doctors beside examination and provided free medicines to the patients. He assured that on demand of residents in near future special camp would be set up in the area to cure Leishmania patients who were beyond number in the locality. Haji Bahadar Khan, a local appreciated the noble act of the forces and said that it would benefited poor people of the area. He also asked for initiating of more free medical camps in other ignored areas of Landi Kotal.
