Kuwait foils plan by ‘terrorist cell’ to target Shiite places of worship

RIYADH: Kuwait’s interior ministry foiled on Thursday a plan by a “terrorist” cell that intended to target Shiite places of worship, Kuwait News Agency said.

Security personnel were able to follow up on the cell, monitor its movements, and arrest three members belonging to a terrorist organization, KUNA said.

The Arab defendants were referred to the Public Prosecution so that legal measures could be taken against them.
