KABUL (Pajhwok): Acting Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation and Kyrgyzstan Ambassador have discussed strengthening of bilateral transport and transit ties, as well as enhancing trade between Kabul and Bishkek.
Mullah Hamidullah Akhundzada met with Kyrgyzstan Ambassador Turdakun Sydykov today (Tuesday), the Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation (MoTCA) said.
A statement from the ministry said the two sides discussed enhancing bilateral transport and transit cooperation, increasing the exchange of commercial goods between the two countries and several others related topics.
The Transport Minister said the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA) was fully prepared and committed to expanding transport and transit ties with Kyrgyzstan by utilising all available land and air infrastructure.
For his part, the Kyrgyz envoy also emphasised the importance of transport links between Kabul and Bishkek and reiterated his country’s commitment to expanding these ties.
