Lack of knowledge of laws creating challenges

KABUL (TOLOnews): The acting Minister of Energy and Water, Abdul Latif Mansour, spoke out about the necessity of clear laws in the country.
Speaking at a gathering in Paktia, Abdul Latif Mansour said that with the absence of clearly understood laws people face challenges.
“Use the articles of the Islamic law, articles of jurisprudence and translate them to Pashto, so everyone– not just scholars– know this. Translate all these articles into Dari and Pashto, don’t consider it a constitution, but say it is the policy of our country to understand the public and students,” he said.
The acting minister also said there have been complaints over high taxes and obtaining permits for work on private land from the commission to prevent land grabbing, and these issues should be addressed, he said.
“Another complaint that we receive is the complaints about finance. A rule should be made for this section as well, do not send these people arbitrarily after anyone. These are honorable people. Some people go to the shop and write that this amount is your tax and you have to pay,” said Abdul Latif Mansour.
Previously, the spokesman of the Islamic Emirate told TOLOnews that the laws of several ministries have been reviewed and sent to the leader of the Islamic Emirate for approval.
