Lahore NAB DG dismisses allegations of fake degree

LAHORE (NNI): National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Lahore Director General Salim Shehzad has on Friday overtly dismissed allegations of fake degree and warned those hurling such accusations of sending legal notice.

Speaking to Dunya News, Shehzad said that some elements of anti-graft watchdog want to run matters as per their wishes. He said some employees have loyalties with certain political outfits.

Shehzad further stated that he worked with honesty in Panama Papers Case and vowed to bring all elements spreading fake news to justice.

The matter of DG Major (retd. ) Salim Shehzad’s appointment on the basis of a fake degree came to light during hearing of a suo moto case related to illegal appointments in the anti-graft body.

It was noted in the petition that the text on Salim Shehzad’s degree were in Calibri font as the degree dates back to year 2002 while Calibri font was introduced in year 2007.
