NEW YORK (RIA Novosti): The transitional government formed by the Taliban does not reflect the entire palette of Afghan society, said Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
“Now, perhaps, the most important thing is for these promises to be fulfilled. The first step that was taken with the formation of a transitional government structure, of course, does not reflect the entire palette of Afghan society in terms of ethno-confessional and political,” he told the press -conferences.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that the issue of international recognition of the Taliban at this stage no one is put, Russia will be guided by this approach, when it receives a request for the appointment of ambassador to Moscow from the traffic.

Russia supports the determination of the Taliban to fight the Islamic State terrorist group in Afghanistan, said Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
“The determination of the Taliban, which they declared, to fight ISIS and other terrorist groups, we will do our best to support,” he said.
