Law will act equally even against Musharraf, IG Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: Inspector General Police Islamabad, Dr Sultan Azam Temuri has said that law is equal for every one whether it is Former President Pervez Musharraf or Molana Khadim Hussain Rizvi.

While addressing a press conference in Anti Car Lifting Cell Islamabad he said “We had made contact with Interpol regarding arrest of absconders, and red warrants of two absconders have been received in this regard. Whether its Pervez Musharraf or Molana Khadim Rizvi, if anyone blocks the roads, law will act equally against them,” he added.

Temuri said that due to effectiveness of police, crime rate is decreased in the federal capital, adding that a cell regarding arrest of fugitive has been established in the office of SSP (Operations).

While lauding the performance of Anti Car Lifting Cell he said that during last two month police arrested 21 accused vehicle lifters and recovered 34 stolen cars worth million of rupees.

Replying a question about abundant of police check post in Islamabad, the police chief said that the numbers of check post have been decreased from 46 to 32, and duty timing of officials deputed on check posts also made eight hours.
