Lawyers hold protest rallies against Trump

TIMERGARA: Legal fraternity in Lower Dir on Saturday boycotted courts’ proceedings and staged protest rallies at Chakdara, Timergara, Samar Bagh and Lal Qila bars against the American President Donald Trump’s decision to declare Jerusalem as Israeli capital. The lawyers’ boycott troubled the courts’ visitors. A function in this regard was held at the district bar Timergara with president Jehan Bahadar in the chair.

Speaking on the occasion the lawyers’ leaders condemned the US President’s decision regarding Jerusalem and termed it a war against the Muslim Ummah. The speakers demanded of the government to severe bilateral ties with the US government and expel its ambassador. They also asked the Pakistanis to boycott American products across the country.

The Chakdara bar also arranged a protest demonstration. The lawyers walked on the road from the bar and gathered in front of the Chakdara press club. The bar president Dost Muhammad, Sultanat Yar and others condemned the US President and his policies regarding middle east. They urged Muslims to get united against the world oppressors.

The lawyers at Samar Bagh and Lal Qila maidan bars also boycotted court proceedings and staged protest demonstration. They also chanted slogans against the US president and Jewish leaders for hurting the Muslims across the globe.
