LEAs start search operation in Pashtunabad area of Quetta

QUETTA: Inspector General of Balochistan, Abdur Razzaq Cheema has said that police and Frontier Corps (FC) are conducting an operation with the help of elders Pashtoonaabad area of Quetta on Sunday with the aim to make sure the safety and security of the masses.

This he said while talking to media persons along with FC Sector Commander Brigadier Tassawur on Sunday. He added that operation was started in the city with the help of the locals to rid of any terrorist sanctuary.

Cheema added that more than 500 houses are in the area and so far 3,000 houses have been searched in the last two days and adding that the operation is expected to be completed by evening today.

The two security officials said that special teams including security personnel, locals and women searchers were formed to visit every house. The teams were divided into four sectors and a total of 120 people were part it as part of “social maneuvers” to conduct effective operation.
