KABUL: At least 26 Taliban fighters were killed and dozen others were injured in separate incidents in the country.
Dost Muhammad Nayab, Spokesman of Uruzgan governor told media persons that sixteen gunmen were killed and six others were injured in an operation in Ashizo area in Chora district.
He added that not a single civilian casualty was reported in the blitz. However, the locals claimed that three minors and a woman were killed in the incident.
Similarly, as many as 10 Taliban fighters were killed and several others were injured in a combined operation conducted by Afghan and Foreign forces Wardak province.
Abdul Rehman Mangal, Spokesman of Wardak governor said to local media that 10 fighters of Taliban were killed and many others were injured in operation.
