PARIS: Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri will travel to Paris on Friday to attend a meeting of the International Lebanon Support Group hosted by French President Emmanuel Macron.
The meeting will discuss ways to stabilize Lebanon after it plunged into turmoil following Hariri’s sudden resignation as prime minister a month ago.
The group, founded in 2013, includes five members of the UN Security Council – Britain, China, France, Russia and the United States.
According to a statement by the Elysee Palace, Macron welcomed Hariri’s announcement Tuesday that he was rescinding his resignation.
