Legal fraternity stands for supremacy of constitution, says PHCBA

PESHAWAR: Newly elected president Peshawar High Court Bar Association (PHCBA) Tariq Afridi Advocate said that legal fraternity shouldn’t be used for ends of any political party but should be stood for supremacy of constitution and law.

This he said while talking to media personnel and that PHCBA will not observe strike for political means but should be oblige to follow decisions of Pakistan Bar Council, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Bar Council and association’s cabinet decision.

PHCBA president stressed that it is high time to stand for supremacy of constitution and rule of law to develop public institutions in lines with modern era. He added that last lawyer appeared before courts and proceeded their cases.

He said that PHCBA cabinet, KPBC and PBC agreed to keep ways with political ends of any party and would not observe strike. He argued legal fraternity to stand for supremacy of constitution and uphold voice on every forum in this regard.

PHCBA president Tariq Afridi claimed that legal fraternity has always stood for rule of law and supremacy of constitution while added that will oppose every unconstitutional act at every forum.
