Let’s preserve our faith and Afghan pride: Sirajuddin Haqqani

KABUL: Taliban’s Minister of Interior, Sirajuddin Haqqani:
“In the past two decades, I consistently engaged in jihad without publicizing it. My accomplishments were often publicized by the enemy. Towards the end of the Jihad against America and its allies, Mujahideen gained tremendous strength, planning hundreds of attacks against Americans and other infidels daily compared to a few per year before. Despite our capabilities, we restrained from overwhelming assaults. President Joe Biden wisely withdrew troops; when we geared up, they retreated. Now, Afghans should not hurry for recognition and wait at least ten years. We liberated Afghanistan through force, not sweets. Let’s preserve our faith and Afghan pride, utilizing this God-given capital. Recognition is a bonus; we already enjoy security, freedom, and restored brotherhood in our country—a significant achievement and big recognition.”
