LAHORE: Model Town inquiry Commission has written letters to Chief and Home Secretaries of Punjab province to provide copies of statements of all the persons including Chief Minister Punjab Shehbaz Sharif.
According to details, an effectee of Model Town incident Qaiser Iqbal requested the Commission to provide him all the copies of all the recorded statements including Shehbaz Sharif, provincial minister Rana Sanaullah, former IG Police Punjab, and all the police officers. The letter said that inquiry reports alone are not helpful to clarify the facts. Qaiser has also sought answers to 22 questions, which he has drafted.
These questions include on whose direction the police was deputed in Model Town and in which meeting decision for the operation was made. The writer has also asked that he should be provided the attested copies of sworn statements of CM Shehbaz and law minister Rana Sanaullah. The writer also asked, who provided the money to former IG Punjab Mushtaq Sukhera to build house.
